Unfortunately that means you won’t see it on the big screen unless you meet the target audience criteria, but for the client this provides a far more effective, targeted approach compared to the shotgun approach to traditional TV advertising.
The commercial advertises one of The Royal Mint’s latest coins, The Four Generations of Royalty 2018, available to purchase at www.royalmint.com/our-coins/events/the-four-generations-of-royalty-2018.
With pre-production commencing after the ad slot was booked, we had a tight schedule with just 4 weeks separating our concept development meeting and the date the ad was ingested by Sky.
Despite the turnaround, we produced a strong concept on-site at The Royal Mint in Llantrisant, acted and voiced by a member of their own staff, Abigail from The Royal Mint Museum. Shot entirely in raw CinemaDNG, this allowed us greater quality and control over the final production than ever before; the below stills show our grade before and after.
We also managed the entire broadcast clearance and QC process in-house, ensuring audio and colour levels adhered to standards. Overall it was an incredibly exciting and enjoyable project to work on, and fortunately there’s another in the pipeline.
